Rebecca Brown has been a professional public speaker, conference facilitator and educator delivering workshops and presentations to 1000's of professionals throughout North America since 2008. Rebecca's dynamic presentations on Vicarious Trauma, Compassion Fatigue and Resilience Building have been highly praised and recommended by police, trauma workers, medical staff and countless others who put themselves at risk while helping others.
Whether a Keynote Speaker to 500 state wide law enforcement officers or an intimate team workshop for 12 staff at a small non-profit agency, Rebecca will customize a learning opportunity for any group of professionals who's work involves caring for others. Knowledge and tools will be provided to develop resilience building strategies to help mitigate the impact of vicarious trauma.
Certification in Critical Incident Stress Management has provided Rebecca with the skills needed to provide Psychological First Aid following critical events to minimize the impact of Post Traumatic Stress and Occupational Stress Injuries.
Rebecca has been granted the designation of Compassion Fatigue Educator and Vicarious Trauma Specialist by the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology. Rebecca is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University.

Rebecca Brown has had an extensive career in the field of social work and trauma counselling for over thirty five years with a specialty in helping people reach traumatic growth through resilience building activities and self-discovery. After twenty three years working within the child protection system as a supervisor and educator, Rebecca embarked on an exciting private practice career which has included certifications in Health and Wellness Coaching, Compassion Fatigue Education, Critical Incident Debriefing and Equine Assisted Therapy.
Rebecca divides her clinical time between a Family Medical Centre in beautiful Sauble Beach, her Equine Therapy Programs and public speaking events on Vicarious Trauma.
With registration in the Ontario College of Social Workers and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association Rebecca will help to find the best solutions to meet each person's unique needs.
